Biography
Dr Moloy Das was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne in 2015.
After completing Cardiology/Cardiac Rhythm Management training in the North-East, he undertook a Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Devices in Toronto, Canada followed by a MD(Res) higher research degree at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital/Imperial College London. His main focus of study is investigating ways to improve outcomes from AF ablation.
He has been the Newcastle Principal Investigator for a number of national and international trials, including PRAISE, MINERVA, LOCALIZE and CRAFT, and is also aiming to advance Newcastle-led research in Cardiac Electrophysiology.
